Where to find your video
Android
Open Gallery or the Files app and look in Downloads. Some phones also show new videos in a Downloads album.
iPhone
When the video opens in Safari, tap Share and choose Save to Files. To add it to Photos, open it from Files, tap Share, then Save Video.
Computer
Use the ⋮ button on the video player and choose Download, or right-click the video and pick Save video as. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder.
YouTube to MP4: common questions
What is the highest quality?
Full HD 1080p is the top option, if the uploader used that quality. Smaller choices from 720p down to 144p appear as well.
Is there a file size limit?
No. Even long videos in 1080p are listed with their full size. On mobile data, a lower quality keeps the file small.
Can I download Shorts as MP4?
Yes. Copy the Shorts link from the Share button and paste it here. You get the same quality choices as a normal video.
How do I save a video to my iPhone's Photos?
Save the MP4 using Safari, then find it in Files under Downloads. Open it, tap Share and pick Save Video so it shows up in Photos.
How quick is it?
Very quick. The quality list shows up about a second after you paste, and the MP4 opens in a new tab the moment you tap a quality. Saving a big file just depends on your connection.
Do you keep my videos?
